Mr. B's is a steak house as advertised. My wife and I selected the 16oz rib eye, medium rare. Salad and soup, and service were standard or better. The steak came as ordered but the toughest rib eye I have had anyplace. I mentioned to the server that the chef needs to know how tough the steak was and should check with his supplier. It would have been a very frank conversation if most anyone were cooking and trying to serve the beef they supplied. Never a word from the server that indicated this wasn't the way steaks should be. Check before hand and let them know you enjoy tender steak and send it back if it isn't. Nice place with tough rib eye steak on my BD.

Prime rib was amazing. Chicken was cooked perfect. Delicious clam chowder and bread. Really Great service too.

Had a wonderful meal at Mr. B's tonight in celebration of the hub's birthday. The first thing I noticed was the disconnect between the exterior and interior. The exterior screams strip mall restaurant, the inside is quaint and welcoming with warm wood detailing. The service was professional and friendly. I ordered the Mr. B's Tournedos, a petite filet mignon topped with a giant prawn, on béarnaise sauce. The filet was a bit denser that I prefer...I like it fork-tender...but it was delicious and flavorful. The prawn was just perfect and was a nice pairing with the filet. It was served with sides of braised carrots and I chose a baked potato that was perfectly creamy and light. I passed on the soup course (too much food) and opted for the salad with bleu cheese dressing. My hub had the Weiner Schnitzel. He said that it tasted just like the dishes he had when he lived in Austria. He chose the garlic mashed potatoes and both soup and salad. He said the clam chowder was wonderful. We were also served warm French bread to compliment our dinner. It really was a nice evening. And we will be back to celebrate every special occasion. *One note to folks dining at Mr. B's. The interior is a collection of small rooms as one would find in a home. Therefore, the tables are closely spaced and requires that everyone use their "inside voices." We were "treated" to a table of four discussing the most intimate details of their lives, and friends' lives. One lady in particular talked non-stop with a cackling laugh (I thought she'd take a breath after being served her food, but noooooo). Please either respect the other diners and lower your voices, move your party to a fast food joint, or order takeout. Thank you.

Mr B's is an older higher end restaurant in Klamath Falls, and it had previously been called Chez Nous, and as far as I know it is the same owners and a similar menu. For many years it was the expensive steak house (literally in an old house), and to this day they cater primarily to older, wealthier local people, and I think they have a lot of regular customers. If it seems like the decor represents 1978, well, that's a good description of the entire restaurant - an old fashioned seventies steak house. There isn't a lot here that is new or trendy, so what you see is what you get. I had fairly low expectations when we went there for my wife's office Christmas dinner because I am vegetarian, and when I reviewed the menu online I didn't see a single vegetarian entree, except for a salad. I was happy to discover that they had a vegetarian pasta dish available with either a white or a red sauce, made with various vegetables (whatever they had on hand, I imagine). It was good - green beans, red peppers, parsnips among others. I also thought the sautéed mushroom appetizer was quite good, and the bread was great as well. The service was exquisite and I don't understand some of the poor reviews here - I guess other people had a different experience. I'm not the best person to comment on the quality of the steaks and other meat dishes; but I think that you want a more retro, less trendy, steak house experience in Klamath Falls, this is the place.

Had the sheer joy of being in Klamath Falls for a few days, and Mr B's came up as THE place for a steak dinner. So off we went. This is a relatively old building - interesting entry way that I suspect would not meet todays standards - 36" door, up a couple of steps. Very home like (and not so good for wheelchairs, methinks). We were greeted by a friendly hostess, who took us to our table. Immediately, we were asked if we'd like something to drink...nice! In looking around, it was kinda weirdly interesting. VERY german (and when you think of steak, you think of germans, right? Right? After perusing the menu, we ordered - one person ordered stuffed pork, another a salad of some sort (the whole rabbit food thing escapes me), and I ordered snapper with a bay shrimp cream sauce. Our meals came after a bit. The snapper was actually good, but MAN the cream sauce was rich! Simply overpowered everything. The pork dish was touted as great, as was the rabbit food...er...salad. Overall, it certainly isn't a Mortons. But for a reasonably good meal, not a bad place...and certainly the wait staff were incredibly attentive!

We spent the night in K Falls on the way to Bend for Christmas with the family. We rolled in at 5:30 pm without a reservation 12-22 on a Saturday night. The place was fairly empty, but they offered the upstairs bar. They were booked full for the night. We got great service from the girl at the bar who was really sweet but seemed anxious of the impeding rush. I ordered the house salad, and J ordered the ceaser. I liked mine better than his. The warm bread was good. All really better than average and overall almost unheard of in this part of Oregon. We ordered the fillet mignon, medium rare and medium. They were pretty big, about 6 and 9 oz. Perfectly cooked to order. They reminded me a bit of Rut Chris because of the pat of butter on the top of each one. Wine list was doable as well. I am used to San Francisco prices, so over all enjoyed our diiner very much. When we left at about 7:30 it was still not full or too busy. OH and the mashed potatoes are insanely good.

I had a fabulous experience at Mr. B's tonight. While it's NOT a place to take your children, my son has been wanting to go forever. As a special treat for his 7th bday, I took him on a mommy-son date here tonight. He minded his manners and was very well behaved, and the staff treated him (us) wonderfully. I called ahead, first of all, to give them the heads-up that we'd be coming. Reservations are a must, especially for a Friday night when it's busy. They have a children's menu, but since he will eat just about anything, they tapered it to his needs. He had the same courses I had...delicious clam chowder, salad, and then his entree, which was homemade chicken fingers, carrot coins, and their garlic mashed potatoes. He was in heaven and LOVED everything! The chef came out and gave him a tour of the kitchen, and they sent out a delcious birthday dessert after he finished eating...flambeed peaches. YUMMMM. My dinner was very good too, but the service was impeccable. Would I bring little kids normally? No, it's better as an intimate date place. BUT, we had a great time. :)

We only spent one night in Klamath Falls so I don't have anything to compare it to locally. The food was good. Not spectacular. We had to eat up in the bar area because of the crowd, which was a detractor. Overall it was an ok meal. I don't mind paying for a good steak, but this place really seemed overpriced for the setting.
(3)Andrew N.
I ordered a steak medium and got it rare. The steak came with a sauce on it which they cooked into my steak when I sent it back. The steak came back well done and tasting awful from the sauce. There's no excuse for this for the price I paid.

On three week vacation, first time in K. F., saw AAA recommed, Nice old type house, We went early on Saturday, The waitress Lisa, was very good. The caesar salad had no special taste, really bland. Soap, red pepper cheddar was good, Prime rib..so so, not worth $25.00. Probably good restaurant for the area.

Give Mr. B's an A+ for being an excellent restaurant in a not so memorable place. We had a very good meal, with good service. The place is an old house that is very nicely fixed up and a real cozy place to dine. We sat in a room with a nice fireplace, and lace curtians. It is very homey and it is easy to get comfortable very quickly. I think Klamath Falls is very lucky to have a gem like this for fine dining
(4)Teri C.
Excellent warm spinach salad. You get both soup and salad before your entree.
(4)Mark S.
Nice quaint little steakhouse. No chain restaurant ambience here! The cream of ginger & carrot soup was interestingly good. The bone in New York steak I had was flavored well but was a bit on the tough side in parts and grissly somewhat so can't give 5 stars. The bartender who served me was very friendly and genuine. No airs. Not a huge selection of beers and no local beers. Prices are in line with other steak places which means pretty pricey but you don't feel like you have to dress up at all. Would recommend this place.

I have lived in Klamath for a long time and once in a while it's good to go out and have a "fancier" dinner than usual. I've been to Mr. Bs Steakhouse a few times and was waiting a bit to write a good updated review... this is just my opinion but I hope it's helpful to some of you. Last Night I took my mom out to dinner and the first thing we came across was the hostess who was not very professional and was kind of "mad" when we told her we had no reservation. the decor needs to be updated. everything is old and kinda dusty. we were sat and had a different lady approach us 5 minutes after to ask if we were ready without giving us the specials or asking if we had questions. (even after seeing us flip through the menu with an undecided face) we told her we needed more time and when we were ready, the hostess suddenly became our waitress and brought with her the awful smell of cigarette. Gross! We got into the soup and enjoyed it. then as she brought the salad we had to ask for the bread they give (the main reason why we went to Mr Bs) and she replied with "oh, I'll go see if they can throw some in the oven for you real quick" if you're in this business you should always try your best and make sure the customers know you personally will go get what they ask for (being a waitress myself). She came back with bread apologizing because she had forgotten to bring it out... not experienced or too lazy? Soon after, the entree came, I had the lamb chops with mashed potatoes and the bacon green beans. the lamb was pretty good and i have to say the only great thing were the potatoes. the green beans seemed out of a can vegetable. My mom ordered the Chicken Parm and most of it was bland. putting that on the side we experienced an incident that made my experience there even worse. as we were eating, a family with kids came in (which I've heard that the restaurant doesn't like children) and our "hostess/waitress" on the phone at the time greeted them by saying "sorry the kitchen closed at 9." it was 9:30.. I later asked her what time they actually closed since I checked on their website and saw 11:00pm and she blamed it on the "not so technological owners" not changing the hours online. she said the kitchen closes at 9:30 but it also depends if it's busy they sometimes stay open till 11. so I never got a conclusion to the hours. we couldn't take anymore of this so we paid and left. we ended up going to Roosters for dessert. Which was such an opposite experience! Mr. Bs was a disappointment..

I visited this restaurant and was very happy with the service and food. I did not make a reservation, but was still able to get a table. I would love to visit this restaurant again!

love this place 4 years in a row during boys golf trip. 8 hungry guys went in and 8 happy guys walked out. we had schnitzel, rib steaks, cordon bleu, french onion soup and lots of deserts. not a single criticism. Our server was awesome and they even put up with a pretty loud group. We plan to return again on our next trip.
(5)Darlene H.
There was a group of us going on a Wednesday, so we called ahead to warn them there was a 20 ish person group coming. We were put upstairs, which was fine. It is nice, not as fussy as the rest of the place. We had to ask for more water, more drinks, more service. Why does the server only bring a drink or two at a time? No trays? We had to repeatedly find the server and remind her of things ordered. Some items never arrived at the tables The food was great, slow, but good. Or this rating would be much lower.
(3)Sandy I.
Steak was good :) I could tell my green beans were from the freezer... Maybe try fresh green beans.

When I made our reservation, I requested a romantic table, and told the hostess that it was our anniversary. "Great!", she said, and told me that we would receive a free desert for the occasion. A nice touch. We ordered the shrimp cocktail as an appetizer, which was decent, though not great- the shrimp were a tad dry. The Italian vegetable soup was delicious, as was the warm bread. The salad was decent and crisp, though quite under-dressed. I ordered the NY steak, medium rare, and my husband ordered the rib-eye, also medium rare. My husband's steak was medium to medium-rare, but tender. My NY was medium-well, tough and dry, so I sent it back. By the time my meal came back, my husband had finished his. Again, my steak was over-cooked; this time it was medium in the center, and medium-well around the edges. It was again tough, dry, gamey, and under-seasoned. I was really disappointed. Lastly, when the server came back, she made no mention of our free desert, though she knew it was our anniversary because she wished us a happy one as we were being seated. Oh well. I think she was new, and perhaps was unaware of the free desert. Little matter, because by that time, we just wanted to leave. As a side note- we were seated in a part of the dining room next to a large wall with a wine rack. The rack appeared to hold 100+ bottles. Unless those wines were for decoration, storing them in that environment is unacceptable. Mr. B's has $100 bottles on it's list. They should be stored properly! Lastly, the decor is in serious need of an update. 1978 came and went.

Horrible fish specials both times I ate here. I also had a poor Ribeye. I would not ever go back here and pay the prices they ask. The food is marginal, but I guess K Falls has little choice for steak on this side of town

Found it on Yelp! Excellent choice! The food and service were outstanding! I can't speak enough good things about this place! I will visit again for sure when I make my way through Klamath Falls on my way to Bend!

FYI Disclosure: We've lived in 3 states and several cities in the last 10+ years. We've eaten in a LOT of restaurants and diners. We have a lot of "experience" with eating out. Mr. B's is one of the better (arguably best) restaurants in Klamath Falls, I believe we've tried them all and will get around to reviewing them all. We give it 3 stars because of the price vs food and seating. The food is good, just good, nothing great. Our steaks just didn't have the flavor of we expect for the overinflated price. For the two of us it usually cost the better part of $100.00. That is for nothing special and no appetizers, just our moderate steaks and two glasses of wine. We recommend you make a reservation (regardless of day), we always do just in case. It does get crowded there. The seating is odd. Every time we've been there we're too close to other patrons. They've done this to add tables (tables=$$$). The service is better than the food. No complaints about the servers. If you're in Klamath Falls, want the best dinner in town and don't mind spending the money then go for it. Be sure to make reservations, especially if you have a large group.

Yeah old man! I say unto you begates. Which means translated........ this place is out there. Steak to these clowns means hammered dog meat.

In any other town I would rate Mr B's 2 stars. In Klamath Falls, it deserves an extra star. It's nicely decorated, intimate, but the food is over-priced and the service was so-so. I ordered the Cajun catfish, which was good. It came with a nice pasta side and crisp steamed green beans. The Caesar salad tasted more like Italian. The soup du jour was Bavarian sauerkraut soup, which was fresh and way more delicious than it sounds. The staff seemed friendly, but they started getting a little antsy at 8:45 when I was the last diner in the restaurant. They clearly wanted to leave, even though they are open until 9. I walked out at 8:55, still trying to figure out how a $17 meal and 1 Fat Tire came to $26...not including tip...

Took my Mom and stepdad to dinner here just before Mother's day. The place was recommended by the staff at the hotel we were staying at. My mom's idea of fine dining in Klamath Falls is Sizzler steak house....so it is apparent there are not many dining options on the higher end in Klamath Falls. As such, my expectations were not very high going into this experience. To our pleasant surprise, we had a very memorable dining experience here. Probably our best in all of our dining experiences in Oregon. The ambiance is very quaint. The service was spot on and the food was really delicious and perfectly prepared. They even had a very impressive wine list which shocked me for a restaurant in Klamath Falls. The proprietors of this restaurant know their food, know their wine and have this business down! It is probably pricey for the area, however, for the quality of the food and service, being from california wine country, we felt it was an exceptional bargain and would definitely dine here again when in the area.

A great destination for a memorable meal. This charming, big old house opens its doors to cozy nicely decorated rooms where you will find yourself eating a lot more than you planned because every bite is better than the next. Lots of the others in our party ordered steaks and they loved them. I had the special, a Black Forest pork cutlet that was mouthwatering. All meals come with soup and salad -- each was perfect. My pork was accompanied by fresh steamed veggies and garlic mashed potatoes, which were also so delicious. Another reviewer offered excellent advice: Be sure to save room for dessert. We ordered a variety and they were each so wonderful. Service was warm, attentive, and unobtrusive. I love that it was quiet enough to enjoy the conversations -- am really tired of having nice meals ruined by the high noise levels so many restaurants seem to think are pluses. We will definitely plan to return next time we're anywhere near Klamath Falls.

We visited Mr. B's on a family roadtrip. My aunt has been coming here for 20 years, so we were all excited to try it. The ambience has a soft glow, the restaurant is divided into several cozy rooms, one of which has a fireplace. Mr. B's would be charming for a date, but not so formal that children would feel uncomfortable on a family outing. The servers are attentive and detail-oriented, creating a comfortable, curated experience. The German special of the evening was a big hit, pork with black-forest ham and a cranberry cream sauce. The chicken cordon-bleu was delicious, as was the steak. Each entree is served with salad, bread, and the soup of the day. The beef barley was well-flavored and not too filling. Entrees were in the $20-30 range. A good value for the portions, quality and experience. Make sure you save room for dessert--the creme brulee was wonderful, as was the chocolate cake.
(5)Lisa M.
Had to do an update as it is only fair. Went to dinner 2 weeks ago, made rez's, sat downstairs. Were seated promptly. The service was great as was the food. The four of us had the rack of lamb, (took quite awhile but then not everyone orders lamb!), tenderloin, and 2 rib steaks. Everything was cooked as ordered and we got soup AND salad which is nice, except by the time dinner rolled around, the appetites were a bit slack.

Klamath Falls is one of those places that has great potential, but.... Being there for the night we came to Mr. B.s for dinner. The restaurant it self has a nice feel to it. The hostess, wiatress and busgirl were each pleasant. Although the busgirl did one thing I would not suggest she continue doing and that is bringing the waitress a tip and shove in front of her while taking anothers order, déclassé my dear. Soup and salad were both good and Gus said his dinner was quite good. I had a t-bone and mine was tough. But over all it was just fine.
(4)Robbie K.
Looking at the trend or ratings, there may be something going on here. Our group of 6 waiting a ridiculous amount of time for our orders. They were delivered with abject confusion (easier to ask, "Who had the ...?" than putting the wrong plate in front of me) and even the separate checks were mixed up. As for the steak (NY Strip), it was delicious.
(3)TravelBug W.
We went here because it received good Yelp reviews while on our way from SF to Bend. It was pretty lousy for the money. Steaks were pricey and waitresses didn't know where the beef came from. Why aren't they using local beef when you throw a stone and hit a bunch of cattle ranches. My steak was tough a shoe leather but my dogs did enjoy it Servers were surly and disinterested. Wine list was beyond mediocre. Wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend you go there.
(2)Richard D.
Very pleased with our first dinner here. Waitress (Lisa) was very pleasant and attentive. As previously mentioned, all the dinners include soup and salad. Soup was a Potato Lentil and salad was a nice little house salad....portions seemed just right. Bread basket was refilled as needed, which was nice. We ordered: Ribeye, New York Strip, and a Top Sirloin and all three arrived as ordered, along with choice of potato. We all had the mashed garlic and agreed they were good. Green beans finished off the plate and were well prepared....not too soggy, not too raw. All-in-all a very pleasant dining expereince, and a restaurant I would not hesitate to recommend.
(4)B. J.
Food and service were excellent even by city standards. For klamath falls this place is worthy of six stars.
(5)Star T.
The baked potato is 5 stars :: go for all the fixings: real bacon, butter, sour cream & green onions! Soup & salad are served with all entrees. Scampi is lobster sized. Very typical American "nice". Foreigners passing through K Falls should definitely go here. Veggies were yummy and crisp. Get the baked potato - don't get the garlic mashed potatoes ... There's not enough Oregon wine on the menu. :( Plus they should offer more half bottles. And finally all entrees are around $30.00. (Can you tell I'm a Check Please fan?)
(4)Alisia V.
Spend a lot of time traveling between Cali and OR and your going to stop for dinner, this would be the place to do it. I sat at the bar upstairs (this time) and ordered from the light menu (great idea) the rib eye & salad were perfect size and cooked to my specifications. They have early bird specials which are very reasonable, the wine list is nice. In a place cute lil town where your not expecting highend restaurant or service you will be pleasantly surprised as was I. The dining room is very cozy and welcoming. All in all a great experiance that I will soon have again.
(4)Tebucky J.
Best steakhouse in kfalls. Go upstairs have a drink and enjoy a nice steak. "Beef it's what's for dinner"

We stopped here near the end of a road trip. There were a ton of cars outside, so we decided to check this place out. Mr. B's doesn't look super great from the outside, but the inside is pretty cool. The restaurant is an old renovated house (complete with weird grandma knick-knacks on the shelves). Its a pretty small place, but then again, Klamath falls is not a bustling metropolis. The food: amazing. I got new york steak with some crazy pepper sauce. lovely. the dinners come with bread and soup and salad. i guess the owners make the soup themselves. the one we ate was cream of vegetable. tasted very homemade. the bread was delicious. EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS. They had a large wine list that i did not partake in. next time, maybe. i would drive back to eat at this fine establishment.

Mr. B's situated conveniently on South 6th street along with many other restaurants. After reading fellow Yelper Alison R.'s review and seeing many cars in the parking lot I decided to give a try since I was craving slow-roasted Primed Rib. The freshly baked French bread was hot and wonderful. One should really appreciate the fact that we can rarely get "non-sourdough" plain French bread nowadays at a restaurant. The butter they use is real butter too however you can tell the butter has been in the refrigerator "uncovered" too long since I could taste the "fridge staleness" inside the butter. Mr. B, if you are reading this please have your staff cover up the ramekins of butter in the future so the fridge scent doesn't get in your fresh and real butter. After the bread, came the real highlight of my meal, the Italian Vegetables soup. It was hearty and thick unlike most other places who serve more bland and diluted version. It was so delicious I almost asked for seconds. Last came my rib eye steak medium rare (I truly wanted the Primed Rib rare but the waitress told me they only had medium to well-done cuts left). It was cooked to perfection from the doneness standpoint but I felt the cut of the meat had too many tendons which gave it a rougher texture. The meat came with wonderful garlic mushrooms smothered on top and silky garlic mashed potatoes. The accompanying green beans were overcooked slightly which led to its semi-brown color. Later on in the evening I saw that one of my neighboring table ordered a Primed Rib that appeared to be medium rare. It looked absolutely to-die-for. I wished the waitress had told me they had medium-rare to serve. All in all, it was an above-average experience in this little town strategically located between the famous Crater Lake National Park and Lava Beds National Monument. I would definitely come back again, perhaps earlier in the evening so I can order my rare to medium-rare cut.

Reservations a must. We made reservations and were seated promptly. Service was friendly but a tad slow as the restaurant was completely full by 7. Overall the decor was nice and fairly elegant. Food took a while to come out, and while good tasting, not worth the price. First course was clam chowder which was pretty good and not too thick. Disappointing that there was no other soup for non-seafood lovers. Second course was a lackluster salad with cucumbers and one cherry tomato. The entrees - Prime rib was not seasoned well, not served au jus and horseradish was creamed but needed seasoning. Chicken Marsala was a tad sweet, and the good quality chicken was moist and tender. The garlic mashed potatoes we both had were fantastic...creamy and made with fresh garlic. We shared a huge strawberry shortcake dessert which was very good. Overall, prices a little high which took a star and the slow service in getting water and drinks refilled took a star. Wouldn't go back unless the prices went down a bit and had a another choice for soup of the day as well as maybe a rib entree. Overall though you can get a good, but moderately expensive, meal here.
(3)David C.
The early bird dinners are outstanding. Great quality meal w/ soup or salad, entree, vegetable, and dessert for $14. Entrees included a 10 oz NY steak. Outstanding value. Regular menu prices were much higher.
